He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dorsey Jones and Vivian Watford Jones; his former wife Ernestine Jones; and his siblings, Boyce Jones, Boyd Jones, Paul Jones, Dorothy Britt and Rebecca Garrison.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Tiller Jones; his children, Randy Jones (Patricia), Pamela Jones (Dorsey), Karen DuBose, Tammy Love (Michael) and Timmy Aken Jones (Leslie); his stepdaughters, Brenda, Kay and Connie; and his siblings, Louvenia Brown, Nell Mixon, Ann McRae, Martha Yarborough, Walker Jones, Mary Ann Burkhart (Richard) and Dorsey Jones (Pam). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591).
