It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean McAllister of Scranton, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, I. Kelly McAllister and Margaret Smith McAllister; her brother Freddie McAllister; and her grandparents, Eddie and Myrtie Smith.

She is survived by : her sister-in-law Susan McAllister; her nieces, Freda Evans (Mel) and Jennifer Martin; her nephew James McAllister (Tiffany); her great-nieces, Kristen Brown (Jeromie), Alyssa Evans, Maggie McAllister (Jeffery Godwin), Jordan McAllister (JW Barker) and Baylie Martin; her great-nephew Daniel McAllister; her godchildren, Debbie Coward, Dale Coward (Phyllis) and Chris Coward; and her cousin Thelma Coward. She is also survived by 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
