It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bennie Joe Poston (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Cordie Spurgon Poston and Maybell McKissick Poston; his wife Geraldine Hutchinson Poston; and his siblings, Elsie Mae Campbell, Addrell Poston, Teal Ward, Mavin McKissick, Carnell Matthews, Virgie Lee McCutcheon, Johnnie Poston and Betty Jo Poston.

He is survived by : his sons, Reggie Poston (Gaye) of Effingham and Greg Poston (Jennifer) of Pamplico; his grandchildren, Amanda Baxley (Davey) of Georgetown, Karyn Poston of Florence, Matthew Poston of Pamplico and Katie Poston of Columbia; and his great grandchildren, Mallory Baxley, Kylie Baxley and Caysen Baxley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
