He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles King Whitlock and Barbara Ann Godwin Whitlock; and his uncle Richard Whitlock. He is survived by: his daughter Kingsley Dennis (Tony) of Lake City; his siblings, Deborah Whitlock Haselden (CJ) of Scranton, Sharon Whitlock Thrasher (Julian) of Florence, Ann Whitlock Hanna (Jimmy) of Lake City and Grant Whitlock (Pam) of Garden City; his grandchildren, JC Dease, Case Dennis, Blakely Dennis and Estella-King Dennis; his uncles, Rhett Whitlock (Jennifer), Tony Whitlock (Diane) and Ted Whitlock (Fran); and his close friends, Mark Vancil and Lyle Hancock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lake City United Methodist Church (229 W Main St, Lake City, SC 29560). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at the Lake City Memorial Park.
