Homer Bazen Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Homer Bazen (Scranton, South Carolina). Homer, born on March 5, 1946, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Bazen and LeeDell Stone Bazen; his grandson Garrison Rhodes; and his brother Kenneth Earl Bazen. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Cameron Bazen; his daughters, Kim Rhodes (Gary), Kelly Eaddy (Greg) and Karla Townsend (Sammy); his grandchildren, Hunter Eaddy (Roxanne), Kerrigan Rhodes, Brooke Townsend (Dylan Coleman), Chase Eaddy, Wesley Townsend, Nathan Rhodes and Grayson Eaddy; his great grandchildren, Dalton Coleman and Tuff Eaddy; his siblings, Molly Sue Driggers, Charlie Bazen, Lois Jones (Dean) and Marie Adams (LaRue); his daughter Hope Thigpen (Devin); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allison Moffatt (Ryan) and Shayne Thigpen (Destiny Jacobs); his close friend Rudy Lee; August and Ronan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stone Chapel (1996 W Hwy 378 Hannah, Pamplico, SC 29583). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the Riverside Cemetery.
