With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cooper (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Sybil Griffith Cooper; his parents, James Cooper and Ovia Creel Cooper; his son-in-law Ellis Evans; his sister Levelle Fennell; and his brothers-in-law, Lew Ard and Robert Fennell.

He is survived by : his children, Laura Evans of Lake City and Tony Cooper of Seneca; his grandchildren, Holly Haselden, Joseph Cooper (Courtney), Jessica Smith (Mychael), Heather Broach (Patrick), Kayla Wilson (James), Troy Cooper, Aiden Cooper, David Evans, Brian Evans and William Evans (Angel); and his sister Bobbie Ard. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
