He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peterson, Sr. and Edith Hulse Studley; and his grandson Travis John Kennedy. He is survived by: his children, Glen Peterson of Raleigh, NC and Nancy Peterson Kennedy (Tobby) of Summerton; and his grandchildren, Hannah Kennedy Richardson (Jacob), Justin DeWayne Stover (Rebekah) and Bradley "Kyle" Turpin. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Lake City, SC 29591). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Lake City, SC 29591). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Matthews Cemetery.
