With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald D. Smith (Scranton, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Margaret Smith; his son Robert Page; his grandsons, Zachary "Zack" Nelson Gause, Scott Dale Smith and David Linnis Smith; and his son-in-law Nelson Bruce Gause.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his children, Rhonda S. Gause, Dale Smith (Dianne) and Joan Smith; his grandchildren, Nancy G. Truluck (John), Becky Gause, Roger D. Smith and Robert Page "Little Robert"; and his great grandchildren, Emily Truluck, Grace Truluck, Caitlin Smith (Ryan) and Carlie Anne Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Lake City, SC 29591). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Lake City, SC 29591). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Lake City Memorial Park.
