He is survived by: his wife Linda Yarborough Gowdy; his children, Legrande Gowdy (Annique) and Dawn Johnson (Kevin); his grandchildren, Rebecca, William, Lucas, Hunner, Dalton, Abbigail and Sara Beth; his great grandchild Kaden; his siblings, Lee Gowdy and Sharon Gulledge (Clyde); and his pet Ozzie.
