She was predeceased by : her parents, Capers Byrd and Louise McKnight Byrd; her former life partner Willard Elisha Evans; her husband Charles Ray Lee; her sisters, Maxine Horne and Trella Mae Matthews; and her daughter-in-law Karen Renee Phillips Evans.

She is survived by : her children, Randy Evans, Brenda Hanna, Perry Evans and Genny Evans; her grandchildren, Miranda Hanna, Brandon Hanna (Mellisa), Evan Powell (Heather Batts), Austin Hanna (Amber), Brittany Peters (Chris), Jeremy Evans and Joshua Evans (Leah); her great grandchildren, Mykol Hanna, Noel Hanna, Jakob Hanna, Leeland Hanna, Ethan Powell, Emily Hanna, Violet Evans, Jaxon Matranga, Little Austin Hanna, Alivya Peters and Lincoln Hanna; and her brother Elijah Byrd (Nell). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
