He was predeceased by: his parents, Seaborn Collins and Doris Rochester Collins; and his siblings, Bobby Collins, Jimmy Collins, Jerry Paul Collins Sr. and Ruth Collins.

He is survived by: his close friend Elaine Thompson; his nephews, Jerry Collins, Jason Collins and Jimmy Collins; his niece Cristal Collins; his granddaughters, Kayla Elgin, Kristin Suttles and Brianna Smith; his former wife Ann Jackson Collins; Angie Cox. He is also survived by granddaughter.
