He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Elaine Hennemann Mize; his parents, Olin Pike and Beulah Maze McDonald Mize; and his siblings, Clayton Mize, Junior Mize, Homer Mize, Utez Sylvester Powell and Evelyn Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Wayne Mize (Regina) of Asheville and Melinda Mize Harbin (Kevin) of Seneca; his grandchildren, Sam Harbin (Ellee), Kelly Harbin and Justin Bacon; and his sister Linda Holden of Walhalla.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Oconee Memorial Park.
