With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Romain Vinson of Seneca, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Capps Vinson; his children, Doug Vinson and Jean Vinson; and his siblings, Ray Vinson of Glenn Vinson, R. J, Austin Vinson, Noah Vinson, Sedalia Vinson and Emma Crowder.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Vinson of Seneca, Jerry "Rook" Vinson of Seneca, Charles A. "Chuck" Vinson of Seneca and Toni Owens of Seneca; his granddaughters, Jenny Vinson of Salem and Jodi Vinson of Seneca; and his sister Martha Barnes. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (150 Pleasant Hill Cir, Westminster, SC 29693).
