With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Percy Pope of Seneca, South Carolina, born in Battiest, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Naomi Campbell Pope; his parents, Carby Holt and Iva Patterson Pope; his son Gary Lee Pope; and his siblings, Reg Pope, Cecil Pope, Arthur Pope and LaFaun Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Pope (Kay) of Seneca and Dianne Lanceley (Mike) of Seneca. He is also survived by daughter in law, Barbara Pope; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
