He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Ellenburg Abercrombie of Seneca; his parents, Glazner Abercrombie and Frances Alexander Abercrombie; his son Howard Wayne Abercrombie, Jr.; and his siblings, Wilmer Abercrombie, Harold Abercrombie, Beatrice Orr, Gladys Smith, Pauline Orr and Vera Burrell.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 15195 Wells Highway, Seneca, 29678.
