He is survived by: his brother Jerry Thornburg (BJ); his children, Roger Thornburg, Laura Gilliland (Jeff) and Janet Hess; and his grandchildren, Kevin Gilliland, Erica Jagger (Jeff), John Hess, Bill Hess (Hannah) and Nora Thornburg.
