She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Berta Thomas Edwards; and her siblings, Harold, George, Eugene, Bill Edwards, Thelma Elrod, Dorothy Bearden and Mary Ann Dacus.

She is survived by: her sons, Keith Powell (Kay) of Toccoa, GA and Steve Powell (Beth) of Rocky Face, GA; her grandchildren, LeighAnn Renner (Jason), Jenny Ritcey (Justin), Alex Powell and Kevin Powell; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Edwards and Jerry Tate. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
