He was predeceased by: his parents, William Brucke and Eva P. Brucke; and his brother Bobby Brucke. He is survived by: his wife Betty C. Brucke; and his daughter Sherry B. Hefner (Carroll) of Greer, SC. He is also survived by Three grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605, or a charity of one's choice.
