He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Adams Fields, Anne Adams Shell (Grant) and Sam Adams IV (Kristi); his grandchildren, Lindley Fields, Lana Fields, Marnie Shell, Whit Shell, Sam Adams V and Eli Adams; and his cousin Mary Ann "Mamie" Gray.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mark United Methodist Church (616 Quincy Rd, Seneca, SC 29678). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
