He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Faye Maddox Gassaway; his parents, Davis Richard and Christine Stargel Gassaway; his daughter Melony Dawn Burriss; and his brother Larry Paul Clayton Gassway.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Heritage Memorial Gardens (4500 SC-11, Westminster, SC 29693).
