She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Paul Maddox and Syble May Bryan Maddox; her daughter Melony Dawn Burriss; and her siblings, Kenneth Maddox, Thurmond Maddox, Charles Maddox and Mable Dyar.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel "Sammy" Richard Gassaway.
