She was predeceased by: her husband John Earl Vassey; her parents, James Marvin Carver and Lucille Ladd Carver; and her brother Jimmy Carver. She is survived by: her children, John "Scott" Vassey of Seneca, Timothy Wayne Vassey (Alicia) of Seneca and Michelle Alexander of Seneca. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at the Oconee Memorial Park (1923 Blue Ridge Blvd, Seneca, SC 29672).
