She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Eugene and Doris Stewart Hoover; and her son Patrick Hoover Whitehurst. She is survived by: her husband Dan Whitehurst; her son Joseph Whitehurst; and her sister Dr. Susan Justice (Tom).
