He is survived by: his girlfriend Donna Leonard; his children, Crystal D. Shelton (Tony), Amanda R., Corey Hamlett and Charles "Chuck" Thomas Hamlett II (Tara); his siblings, Beth Bickley, William Terry Hamlett and Brenda Gale Jennings; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Alexander Shelton, Destany Nicole Deitz, Brandon Lee Shelton, Caleb Douglas, Marissa Lynn Camelia, Perrion Thomas and Makynnah Leigh Hamlett; his great grandchildren, Raylee Nicole Deitz, Liam Hayden Shelton, Autumn Noelle Shelton and Taeson Donovan Rice; his close friend Dr. Bob Wheatly; and his granddaughter Donna.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Reedy Fork Baptist Church (459 Reedy Fork Rd, Greenville, SC 29605).
