He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Owens and Kim Childress (Matt); his grandsons, Wesley Childress and Gavin Childress; and his sisters, Carolyn Turner (Wayne) and Linda Tinsley.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville (313 N Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
