We announce the death of Gary Gardner of Simpsonville, South Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 86. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel "Red" Gardner and Myrle Gardner (Swain); and his great grandchild Francis Faith Kempfer. He is survived by: his wife Alice Verne of Mary's Catholic Church; his sons, Terry Gardner (Amy) of Chesnee and Todd Gardner (Melanie) of Champion; his grandchildren, Steven, Cassie, Grant and Trent Gardner; and his sisters, Pat Rushman and Faye Card (Everett).
