She was predeceased by: her husband George Denton; her parents, Byron Whitt and Willie Mae Sloan Whitt; her children, Rebecca Tucker and Byron Cantrell; and her brother Tom Whitt.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer House; her grandchildren, Kimberly Austin and Meriah Cantrell; her great grandchild Mackenzie Fuller; her stepgrandchildren, Victoria (Thomas), Jessica and Taylor; her stepgreat-grandson Remington; her children-in-law, Terri Cantrell, Brenda Risien (Richard) and Martin Brown; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Whitt and Kay Geurin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Southeast Chapel (1604 NE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
