He was predeceased by: his wife Florence; his parents, Joseph Simpson and Ruby Page Harvey; his daughter Deborah Dill; his grandson Andrew Dill; and his siblings, Volina and Robert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Katherine Harvey (Kathy) of Greenville, SC and Miriam Tinsley (Harry) of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, Heather Taylor (Chris), Joshua Dill, Timothy Dill (Briana), Ainslie Griffin (Edwin) and Justine Quattlebaum (Justin). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
