It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Yates Walton of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Quitman, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Peggy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her children, Tara Slatton (Dale Tessier) of Donalds, SC and Wil Walton (Ajla Kamber) of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Shelby Slatton of Donald, SC, Koty Slatton of Donalds, SC, Irnes Babajic (Tavo Orozco) of Woodstock, GA, Ariela Jimenez (Chris) of Fort Riley, KS and Zarina Walton of Greenville, SC; and her great grandchildren, Sawyer Slatton of Donalds, SC and Mateo Jimenez of Fort Riley, KS..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Southeast Chapel (1604 NE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
