He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gladys "Mammy" DeLoach; his children, Patricia Gettys, Ted DeLoach (Ruth) and Joan Coleman; his grandchildren, Diana Wilson (Michael), Kelly Patterson (Kevin), Ashley Smith (Jay), Keith Gettys (Katherine), Andrew Gettys and Mark Gettys; his great grandchildren, Zoey, Brenley, Marley Wilson, Brady, Coleman Patterson, Scarlett and Gantt Gettys; Hattie Sue and Archie B. DeLoach. He was also cherished by 6 children, he was the youngest of three brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Southeast Chapel (1604 NE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, 309 Keowee School Rd., Seneca SC 29672.
