He is survived by: his wife Reverend Betty Hawkins; his children, Gregory Hawkins and Alema Hawkins; his stepdaughter Wanda Henderson Hawkins; his grandchildren, Anldya Hawkins, Eden Smith, Travis Nicole Edwards and Carl J. Edwards; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Taliyah Edwards; his siblings, Gary Hawkins and Janie Hawkins; his siblings-in-law, Deacon James E. Jordan (Deloris), Mary Johnson and Linell Hallman; and his close friends, J. B. Jenkins, Abraham Drain and Little Gabriel Stephens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home (1767 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
