It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alexander Murray Glenn of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his mother Martha McDonald Robinson; his stepparents, Beverly Glenn and John Robinson; and his siblings, Marty Glenn Tomkins (Austin) and James Glenn (Belva Howard).

“To the family I am so sorry to hear about Murray. I had not seen him for a long time but what memories I have of being his friend at a young age and all the sporting events we went to with our Dads. My greatest memory is from 1982. Murray and I got to go into the Tar Heels locker room after one of their games in Charlotte at the old Charlotte Coliseum and get the whole team's autographs. Just incredible. He will be sorely missed and my best wishes to you from my family. Alan Shaw Jr”

“Eddie and I would like to express our sympathies to Murray's family during this time of sorrow. We met Murray in 2001 after our son was killed by a drunk driver. He was there when we wanted to start a MADD volunteer group. He was always there for all of us. We grew to be good friends. Murray was a special person and he will be missed by many. We are so glad to have known him. Eddie and Anne Sellars”
