He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Roosevelt Alston Sr.; and his brother Roosevelt Alston, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Roberta M. Burton Alston of Philadelphia, PA; and his siblings, Doris Jones (Spartanburg), Gwendolyn Gregory, Monica Dixon (Jimmie Dixion) and Sydney T. Alston.
