He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl S. Wood and Beulah Westmoreland Wood; his wife Betty Turner Wood; and his siblings, Dr. Harold W. Wood, C. Hansel Wood, Florence W. Painter, F. Juanita Wood and Mary Anne Johnson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (316 S Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29306). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens- Spartanburg (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
