He was predeceased by: his father Boyce Lee Ranson, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Ann Elliott Ranson; his wife Pamela Hilliard Ranson; his son Boyce Lee Ranson IV; his siblings, Philip Ranson of Spartanburg and Dianne R. Harris of Prosperity; his mother-in-law Evelyn Shelnut of Boiling Springs; and his sister-in-law Debbie Martin (Ronnie) of Boiling Springs. He is also survived by four nephews and three great nieces.
