He is survived by: his children, Joshua Cody (Rachel) of Queensland and Christina Norton of Spartanburg, SC; his siblings, Walter Cody (Melody) of Strawberry Plains, TN, David Cody (Patty) of Pauline, SC, Melinda Meredith (Tim) of Marietta, GA, Bobby Cody (Robin) of Spartanburg, SC and Gayle Cartee (Jeff) of Pauline, SC; his grandchildren, Brook Norton, Felisha Norton and Noah Cody; his sister-in-law Vickie Cody; and his brother Will Gist. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Powell Presbyterian Church (119 County Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301).
