He is survived by: his wife Barbara Edge Brown; his sons, Cecil Rigby Brown, Jr. (Lisa Lawrence Brown) and John William Brown (Nicole Fréderic Brown); his grandchild Lindsay Kate Brown of Spartanburg; and his nieces and nephews, Linda Brawley Simpson, Kay Brown Jones, Roy Wilkins Brown III, Robert William Brown, Thomas Gary Brown, Cameron Glenn Brown and Roderick Smith Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Episcopal Church (141 Advent St, Spartanburg, SC 29302). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
