With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris O. Toney (Spartanburg, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026 at the age of 90. As we bid adieu to Doris' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Doris has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Cooper and Arizona Robinson; her husband Joseph "JP" Toney; her grandson TJ; and her brothers, Harold Cooper and Billy Cooper.
She is survived by: her friend Lois Moore; her grandchildren, Tim, Christy and Crystal; and her daughters, Debbie Teal (W. F.) of Cowpens, SC and Wanda Waddell (Rick) of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by her extended family, dear friends.
