She was predeceased by : her husband Joe "Porky" Owens; her parents, Fulton Hambright and Elizabeth Raines Hambright; her children, Little Joe Owens and Candy Owens Kirby; and her brother James.

She is survived by : her son Shane Owens; her grandchildren, Barlow Owens, Star Evans (Ray), Jesse Owens, Derek Kirby and Isaac Owens; her great grandchildren, Vincent Hudson, Brent Owens (Kara), Austin Owens, Johnathan Blevins, Canyon Evans, Aurora Owens, Skylar Kirby, Paisley Evans and Kade Kirby; and her great great grandchildren, Bryson Owens and Drew Owens.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Gordon Mortuary (400 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Christian Fellowship Church (615 State Rd S-11-120, Blacksburg, SC 29702).
