He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus H. Stisser and Helen Blau Stisser; his wife Rosemary L. Stisser; and his children, Gwen Stisser and Kerry Stisser.

He is survived by: his children, Barry Stisser (Niki), Jill Sisk (Jeff), Lori Humphries and Nina Amerson; and his daughter-in-law Robin Stisser. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four nieces; one nephew.
