He is survived by: his wife Terri Staggs Thrailkill; his children, Margaret Porterfield (Jamie) and Ben Thrailkill (Adrianne); his stepchildren, Elizabeth Fields (Jeff) and Benjamin Mason (Susan); his siblings, Stan Thrailkill (Sally) and Susan Welch; and his grandchildren, Max, Julia, Jamison Porterfield, Emily, Ben Jr., Jacob, Johnson Thrailkill, Bolen, Mason Fields, Walter and Virginia Mason.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church (250 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29306). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
