He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Hammock and Mattie Logue Hammock; and his brothers-in-law, Marty Dym and Col. Tom Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Mary Adams Hammock; his children, Jeanne Elizabeth Hammock Gauthier (Gerard) and Jefferson Stewart Hammock (Amy) of Spartanburg, SC; his grandsons, Daniel Alexander "Alex" Rosser, Mark Gerard Gauthier IV and George Adams Gauthier; his sister Joanne "Jody" Stewart; and his siblings-in-law, Libby Adams Dym, Gene Adams (Brenda) of Spartanburg and Jay Adams (Virginia) of Spartanburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
