He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Buffo and Frances Faye Gualtieri Buffo. He is survived by: his wife Laura Jeanne McGinnis Buffo; his daughter Stephanie Buffo Morgan (Patrick); his grandchildren, Joseph Patrick Morgan and Kara Faye Morgan; his brother John J. Buffo, Jr. (Karen); and his mother-in-law Shirley McGinnis. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in laws.
