We announce the death of Gerald Toth (Spartanburg, South Carolina), who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Louis Toth and Susan Frey Toth; his wife Margaret Toth; his former wife Sally VanderPloeg Toth; and his daughter Susan Marie Toth.
He is survived by: his sons, Glenn Toth (Karen) and Mark Toth; his stepsons, Michael Leman (Christa) and Eric Leman (Barbara); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Franklin (Jakob), Benjamin Leman (Stephanie), Erica Lucas (Robbie) and Andrew Leman (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Aria Lucas and Landon Leman.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Advent (141 Advent St, Spartanburg, SC 29302).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Spartanburg Humane Society.
