He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grover Pennington and Carol Ruppe Pennington (Angela McGraw) of Blacksburg; his children, Gregory Pennington, Jr. of Blacksburg, Mason Pennington of Blacksburg, Kason Pennington of Blacksburg and Brianna Pennington of Gaffney; his brother Ricky Pennington (Wendy Kirby) of Gaffney; his stepchildren, Tommy McGraw of Blacksburg, Kerra McGraw (Bryson Camp) and Lilly Rivers of Blacksburg; and his siblings, Brian Upchurch (Hannah) of Blacksburg, Lorrie Manning and Timothy W. Pennington. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and friends.
