He is survived by: his parents, Ann Dickey, and Herman Dickey, Jr. of Troy, Alabama.; his wife Wanda Rhymer Dickey; his daughters, Cierra Brigman (Josh) of Boiling Springs and Miranda Messer (Cameron) of Chesnee; his stepsister Heaven Dickey of Enterprise, Alabama; his half-sister Kacee Dickey of Enterprise, Alabama; his mother-in-law Kathy Morris Miller of Spartanburg; his aunt Linda "Lulu" Hamm (Bud) of Troy, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Langston, Logan, Colt and Saylor.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery (2800 Chesnee Rd, Columbus, NC 28722).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, "In memory of Lavon Dickey for Missions" 330 W. Finger Street, Landrum, South Carolina 29356.
