He is survived by: his wife Marlene Moore Gary; his children, Mitzi Gary Nettles (Heyward Nettles) of Spartanburg, SC and Benjamin Todd Gary (Abby Hamilton Gary) of Greenville, SC; and his grandchildren, Heyward Benjamin Nettles, Harrison Gary Nettles, Hampton Rutherford Nettles, Jacob Myers Gary and Hamilton Severs Gary.
