He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boyce Adair and Jessie Nora Youngblood Adair; his grandson Jonathan Lyle Dean; and his siblings, George Nelson Adair, Peggy Brown and J. B. Adair.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Adair Dean (Bob) of Spartanburg, SC, Ann Adair Nalley (Steve) of Winston-Salem, NC and Jamie Adair of Woodruff, SC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Adair Dean of Maryland, Jessica Nalley Kenney of North Carolina and Steve Nalley, Jr. (Jenny) of Colorado; his great grandchildren, Ava Kenney and Nate Kenney; and the mother of his children Martha Womick of Union, SC..
