She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Lewellyn Blakely and EdellaBrown Blakely. She is survived by: her husband Charles A. Spann, Sr.; her children, Charles Aron Spann, Jr. and Carol Adele Spann Joyner; her son-in-law Darren Reed; her grandchildren, Courtney Alexandra Spann, Charles Aron Spann III and Hudson Blakely Joyner; her stepgrandsons, Darren Chase Joyner and Dylan Marie Joyner; her siblings, Betty Montgomery of Charlotte, NC and John Elliott Blakely (Zephia) of Columbus, OH.; and her goddaughters, Sheri Cunningham Daniels, Stacey Smith Wilson and Norma Foster Green. She is also survived by nephews of her sisters and brothers and her husband's sisters and brother.
