He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Webb Bruce and Bertha Peace Bruce; his grandson Daniel Thompson; and his siblings, Bud, Lecil, Bill, Garrell Bruce and Leona Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Whitt Bruce; his daughters, Linda Brady, Pat Tate and Joan McCraw; and his stepchildren, Debbie Willis, Denise Gilbert, Keith and Randall Sprouse. He is also survived by three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren.
